Comments: Dear members of the Rifle Sportsmen's
Club,
I would like to
express my sincere appreciation to you for donating the
Henry Golden Boy to the Last Ride of Kid Curry (LRKC) cowboy
action shooting match, 2005.
I won it! And,
believe me, it was a thrill!
The CAS matches that
the Rifle Sportsmen's Club sponsors at the Rifle range are
always great. And, in particular, the LRKC match is one that
I try to make every year, if at all possible.
LRKC is without a
doubt, one of the premier CAS matches on the Western Slope.
This is mainly due to the work of my good friends Charles
Bolton (alias) and Miles Coffee (alias). This annual match
is considered by most CAS shooters who are "in-the-know" to
be one of the best in the region -- if not in the state.
This year, (and all
of us who put on CAS matches felt the pinch) was a year that
truly tested the mettle of CAS shooters due to the
skyrocketing fuel prices. At our range in Whitewater, for
example, we had only 3/4 of the CAS shooters that we
expected for our annual September BBQ match. But -- LRKC
still managed to draw shooters from around the country. That
speaks volumes for the quality of that shooting match.
Thank you, my
friends. I will always remember the joy I felt when I went
to Miles Coffee's house and filled out the NICS paperwork
for my new Henry Golden Boy. Believe me...folks in CAS will
hear about the great little .22 lever rifle that I won at
the Last Ride of Kid Curry in 2005.
Best regards to all
of the members of the Rifle Sportsmen's Club, and my sincere
appreciation for all that you do to promote the shooting
sports in Western Colorado.
Sincerely,
Pinto Being
